Welcome to Honey Meadow Farm, LLC, our organically managed farm located on 10 beautiful acres in Westmoreland, NH.

Our desire to create a small, holistic farm comes from the combination of our lifelong love of organic gardening, our long commitment to holistic beekeeping and a strong desire to live "cleaner", with less impact on the environment.

While not certified organic, we strictly adhere to the latest organic practices – just as we have since 2004 – ensuring our orchard, berries, veggies, and bees provide us the most natural and nutrient-dense food possible. You see, we understand that everything in nature is related, that healthy soil is the basis for healthy fruit and vegetables and provides a sustainable habitat for honeybees, native pollinators, beneficial insects, and other "critters" that in turn benefit our orchard, gardens and eventually, us!

This website is a way for us to share with you some of the things we make, plus the story of our efforts to create an environmentally sensitive homestead that provides us purpose, exercise, and sustenance as we grow older Plus it provides a place for our German Shepherds, Brody and Gracie, to romp and play and, most importantly,  a great place to share nature with our grandson, Sawyer! Enjoy!

John and Gayla Snowdon

The Apiary

We became beekeepers in 2008 to provide more pollinators for our gardens and because John was intrigued by the societal traits of honey bees. As we have since our very 1st day, we treat our bees holistically, monitor their mite loads, and use natural methods to maintain their health. The honey they produce for you comes straight from their hives, never heated or filtered, ensuring all of the natural goodness nature intended is in every bottle.

The Farm

We have had organic vegetable gardens every year since 1976 and truly care about the quality of the food we eat. While not certified organic due to the cost, we strictly adhere to the latest organic practices, ensuring our orchard, berries, veggies, and bees provide us the most natural, and nutrient-dense food possible. Realizing our land is in our care for only a short period of time, we strive daily to be the best stewards possible of our soil, forest, and wildlife partners.

The Shepherds of Honey Meadow

Sharing the story of our farm means telling you about the German Shepherd dogs that hike these woods with us, help us dig holes in the garden (some where we actually want them) insist we play countless games of fetch, romp in the snow, chase bears, and simply make us better humans.
